Research has been done on this subject, it shows that it is more effective to post your content on social media at a particular time of the day.  I will share with you what is the best times to post on social media.  It varies between different networks.  The study was base on the USA traffics, if your target market is not the USA then you will have to find out the best times for your targeted country.

Once you have the correct time data, you can schedule a timetable to post. Your campaign will be more effective and you will have a higher Click-Through-Rate (CTR).  My experience told me the internet is very quiet when the Americans were sleeping, and also on the weekends (They are out playing sports or going to church).


The best time to post on Facebook is between 1 pm to 4 pm (Monday to Friday).  The worst time to post is from 8 pm to 8 am and also during the weekends.


The best time to post on Twitter is between 9 am to 3 pm (Monday to Thursday).  The worst time to post is from 8 pm onwards every day and also after 3 pm on Friday.


The best time to post on Google+ is between 9 am to 10 am (Monday to Friday). The worst time to post is from 7 pm onwards and also on the weekends.


The best time to post on Pinterest is Saturday morning and Friday after 3 pm. The worst time to post is from 9 am to 5 pm, which is during work hours.


The best time to post on Tumblr is Friday around 7 pm and also from Sunday to Tuesday between 7 pm to 10 pm.  The worst time to post is before 4 pm every day.


The best time to post on Linkedin is 9 am to 6 pm from Tuesday to Thursday.  The worst time to post is Monday to Friday from 10 pm to 6 am.

  • TweetDeck – it is own by Twitter and for use with Twitter only.
  • Tweepi – it works only with Twitter.  It can help you un-follows others and clean up your followers base on their activities.

When you mastered social media posting, you will get more traffic to your website and bring in more sales.  Besides scheduling your post, you have to increase the numbers of your followers to maximize your effort.
